Dr. Frederick M. K. Lam is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Medicine and a life-time fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice (FAAFP). Dr. Lam is the President of the American Association of Acupuncture and Bio-energetic Medicine (AAABEM) and also the founder and V.P. of the Foundation for East-West Medicine of the University of Hawaii. Dr. Lam is a pioneer in Energy Medicine, and one of the first physicians in Hawaii to undergo Acupuncture training in Taiwan. Fred Lam also studied in Germany with Dr. Voll, the german physician who created Electro-dermal Screening Test (EDST, or Electro-acupuncture according to Voll - EAV), and Medicine Testing. Dr. Lam has been in Family Practice since 1949 and using Electro-dermal Screening Test for over 30 years.
By employing EDST and Energy Medicine, Dr. Lam has pursued a medical paradigm that first identifies the causes of diseases, then treats the imbalances with the right medicines and therapies. Fred Lam, MD, FAAFP has published and co-authored a number of research articles on Electro-dermal Screening Testing including papers on diabetes, allergies, medicine testing, and so forth.

Arnaldo Oliveira holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Change from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii and a Ph.D. in Management and Organization, from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Arnaldo Oliveira also earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in Hawaii. He has been studying and working with Dr. Fred Lam for the last 10 years and specializing in the use of Electro-Acupuncture according to Voll (EAV) and Medicine Testing. Besides his work with Dr. Lam, Arnaldo Oliveira, Ph.D. L.Ac. practices Oriental Medicine and specializes in Auricular Therapy (ear acupuncture), Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture, Laser Acupuncture Therapy, Dietary Therapy (Shi Liao), and Electro-acupuncture according to Voll (EAV).
